What do we discuss?
A cohort meets for 6 sessions, scheduled every other week. You will go through a curriculum of topics such as: Psychology of Retirement, Finding Purpose, Changing Relationships, Exploring Hobbies, Exploring Post-Career Opportunities.
What's the cost?
We ask members to contribute $25/month. First month free. No credit card to start! We will only ask for payment information after the first session. See if this is for you first and decide for yourself!
Are all cohorts the same?
We have a range of cohorts that open on a rolling basis. There are always a couple "General" cohorts that are for anyone to join. We also have special groups such as: Solo-Agers-only, Executives-only, Teachers-only.
What is the goal?
The goal is for you to feel more confident about your next chapter alongside like-minded peers. We emphasize connection, peer support, and sharing of perspectives.
Our Facilitators
Each cohort is led by one of our exceptional facilitators. They introduce each session's topic, keep the conversation flowing, and ensure you gain something invaluable from every session.
Meet one of our Hives
While our cohorts typically run for 3 months, we always give groups an option to continue past the scheduled programming. This group just celebrated their 1 year anniversary by meeting in-person and going on a ferry trip, with our co-founder Angela.
Roger, Former Associate Director of Partnerships
I have been in other groups before, but Hively is definitely very different from the other ones I have been part of. It’s a great model of a community we can create while building our knowledge together.
Donna, Former Physician
I love my cohort - they opened my eyes to all the possibilities for my retirement. It is an antidote to social isolation.
Elizabeth W, Former University Administrator
Hively has not only opened my eyes to the challenges as well as the opportunities in this new chapter in my life. It’s a forum for open discussion and advice as well as sharing our continued journey in life in a mature and confidential setting with a small group of people
