About the discussion

Join us for "What Does a Van Life Look Like," Q&A session with Dr. Davida Grossman, a retired anesthesiologist who has embraced van life and pet sitting to explore the world. She documents their travels through photography and writing, and maintains her medical skills by working a few months each fall as an OB-GYN anesthesiologist at Columbia in New York City.

Dr. Grossman will share her experiences and insights on transitioning from a medical career to a life of adventure, the inspirations behind van life, the essentials for outfitting a van for long-term travel, and managing necessities like power and internet on the road.

We'll discuss what its like to go from a traditional lifestyle with a home and full time career to a nomad, van-lifer, and world traveler.

About Dr. Grossman:

I’m excited to share the story my unconventional life with all of you. I went from a traditional lifestyle with a home and a full time career to a nomad, a van-lifer, a world traveler, and a petsitter. If those words spark your interest, we are going to have a good time talking about what it’s like to break free. Forget the Jones’s, there’s a whole world out there to experience. Come on, we’ll get started!
