Mindy McIntosh-Shetter is an agricultural blogger, video blogger (vlog), speaker, and an international author of three historically-based (ethnobotany) gardening books. Her vast knowledge is an accumulation of life experiences and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education, with a minor in biology from Purdue University, along with a Masters of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Louisville. While at the University of Louisville she completed independent research on the acquisition of gardening knowledge, which has been used to aid in the success of community gardens. She is also the author of three gardening books based on the Outlander series. This includes The Unofficial Outlander Book of Herbs, The Unofficial Outlander Book of Herbs II, and the Unofficial Guide to Outlandishly Outlander Landscape Design. Presently, she is working on her next herbal book inspired by the Outlander books and STARZ show. When not writing or teaching, you can find her giving talks on herbs.
